Description

Part of earning wings as a military pilot is passing SEAR training. SEAR stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape and it's no picnic. Even civilian contractors get a dose of SEAR training if there's any chance they might fall into the hands of hostile forces. SEAR training is for skilled personnel, not hacks. What the Apostle Paul says in Colossians 2:8-12 could similarly be understood as SEAR training for King Jesus' daring agents. It's directed to those who are firm in the faith but who nevertheless need to be reminded of the perils of their teleios mission. Don't know what that is? Join us this Sunday morning either in-person or online to find out through a message entitled "Avoiding Kidnap (Or How to Stay Centered on the Teleios Trail).

Join with Hillside Covenant Church as Dan Seitz teaches from Colossians 2:8-12 ESV.

To view or download a copy of this week’s sermon notes follow this link: http://u.pc.cd/06CrtalK

If you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our “Get Connected” page: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/pages/get-connected We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today!

To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com

The full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, May 23rd, 2021.
