<p>This sermon covers five questions you can ask yourself when faced with a grey area</p> <p>1. <strong>What does God word say about it?</strong>2 Timothy 3:16-17 ‘All scripture is God breathed; and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. So that the man [or woman] of God would be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’</p> <p>2. <strong>Is it beneficial?</strong>1 Cor. 10<strong>23 </strong>‘Everything is permissible,’ you say – but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’– but not everything is constructive.</p> <p>3. <strong>Can I do without it?</strong>1 Cor. 6 <strong>12 </strong>‘Everything is permissible,’ you say – but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’– but I will not be mastered by anything.</p> <p>4. <strong>Does it cause others to stumble?</strong>Matt 18<strong>6 </strong>‘If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung round their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea</p> <p><strong>5.</strong> <strong>Does it glorify God?</strong>1 Cor. 10:31 <strong>31 </strong>So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.</p>
