How COVID has Impacted Healthcare and TeleMedicine

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jon, Lisa and Tina discuss how Small Talk has incorporated tele-therapy for children during the COVID-19 era.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p> <p><strong>Lisa Findling</strong> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">co-founded Small Talk to create a warm and functional speech and language treatment experience for both children and their families. Lisa collaborates with parents, classroom teachers, psychologists, and physical and occupational therapists to develop individualized treatment programs to maximize carry-over to other settings.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lisa spent more than 18 years at Beaumont Hospital’s Center for Childhood Speech and Language Disorders where she developed and managed social skill groups for children of all ages and abilities, and served as coordinator for their specialized preschool program for speech and language impaired children. Her practice now includes treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, severe receptive and expressive language delays, articulation, apraxia, fluency, and oral-motor difficulties.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lisa is a licensed speech and language pathologist certified by both the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She earned her B.A. at Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lisa lives in Huntington Woods, Michigan with her husband and three children.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Tina Sappington</strong> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">is one of Small Talk’s proud co-founders.
