Description

Health literacy related to finding, interpreting, and using health information on the Internet is a growing field in public health. A new and innovative approach toward evaluating digital health literacy is the use of computer software programs to record a user’s search strategy in real time. In this presentation I will review efforts that have been done in the past to evaluate digital health literacy, and present a study that was done among children (9-11 years old) to understand and observe their search strategies for finding obesity-related health information.
