Description

Over the next few days and upper-level ridge over Central and Southeastern U.S. and trough in the Pacific Northwest will result in monsoonal moisture to plume out of the southwest and over the Rockies and into the area elevating humidity and dewpoints. Today will again see 100-degree heat with a Heat Advisory in place along and east Highway 25 where heat index readings could reach 105. With no real disturbances coming over the Rockies diurnal driven late afternoon and evening storms likely remain west and struggle to organize into northwest Kansas. Tomorrow and Thursday a weak cool front will increase chances some for late day and evening storms and drop highs some. Friday and over the weekend high-pressure returns.
