Gunmen invade Rivers community, gun down five residents

<p>Gunmen suspected to be cultists have killed at least five persons in the Ahoada area of Rivers State.</p>, <p>The incident occurred on Sunday morning when the armed men reportedly invaded the Odiemerenyi Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area and opened fire on unsuspecting residents.</p>, <p>Details of the incident were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.</p>, <p>When contacted by DAILY POST, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, simply said, “I will get back to you on this, please”.</p>, <p>However, a source alleged that the killers were members of the wanted Iceland cult group who killed the DPO of Ahoada Police Division, SP. Bako Angbashim.</p>, <p>It was gathered that the criminal element earlier ambushed a police patrol van but missed their target before invading the community and killing the victims.</p>
