Growing up in Trinidad was not a vacation. For anyone that has not grown up on a small island in the Caribbean, it can seem like paradise. The sand, the water, the beaches...all sublime. However, if you were born there, it was a difficult place to find your purpose...to maximize your talent and potential. Sean Morong grew up in Trinidad and dreamed of creating a life for himself in Canada. His Grandmother, Ivy Waterman, was his rock of encouragement and support. She always spoke to his potential. She encouraged him to follow his dreams and take risks to achieve what he wanted in life. In this interview with Sean Morong, Jen and Shawn discuss everything from corporal punishment in school (imagine being beaten or hit if you didn't get the answer correct!) to using Readers Digest magazines to inspire the letter that would ultimately lead to Sean's dream of making a life for himself in Canada. Now Sean is married to MommyRapper, living in California and they are raising their four beautiful daughters. It just goes to show that you can do anything you set your mind to accomplish.
