Gospel of Mark - Mark 9:33-41 - Prog 44

Our study next procedes to Mark 9:33-41 with Dr. Mitchell. In this portion of Scripture, Our Lord Jesus gives His disciples a lesson in humility and a Biblical perspective on others who serve the Lord outside of one’s own ministry. Jesus said, “For he that is not against us is for us.” This is our Lord’s perspective for those in Christian service who may differ in some respect with others who also love the Lord Jesus Christ, His finished work, and His Word. The Apostle Paul further expands on this truth in Ephesians chapter 4:1-6 where we are reminded that believers in Christ are exhorted to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
