Why did the Lord speak in parables” is a question Dr. Mitchell asks us. He gives the reason which Jesus Himself revealed. In this lesson, Dr. Mitchell will examine each parable our Lord spoke to the people. He will take each parable of the sower and the seed and then will take up Jesus’ own interpretation of that parable. There are four such parables which Jesus spoke to people as they were able to hear. It is noted by our teacher that of the four sowings of the seed, 3 did not bear any fruit, while the 4th sowing brought forth fruit in ever increasing amounts, 30, 60, 100 fold. Dr. Mitchell says this is done by the Holy Spirit. He brings forth His fruit as written in Gal.5:22.
