Description

Our study resumes in Mark 12:13. Another trap is set for the Lord Jesus. Three groups band together trying to trap the Lord Jesus in a statement. These were the Pharisees, the Herodians and the Sadducees.

Dr. Mitchell gives us an insightful examination of these confrontations. He first takes the Pharisees and then the Herodians, who were in opposition to one another normally, but were now united against Christ.

Mark writes that Jesus knew their hypocrisy and put them to a test with a coin.

Then later the Sadducees confronted Jesus with a hypothetical situation concerning marriage and resurrection. Is it not ironical? They did not even believe in physical resurrection.

Jesus shows they did not know the Scripture or the power of God, or the Living God of resurrection.

Here is Mark 12:13 with Dr. Mitchell.
