Gospel of Luke 23:39-49 - Prog 103

We continue in Luke 23:39 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. In this lesson, the repentant thief is assured of being with Jesus that day. Likewise, Luke reveals the finished work of Christ on the cross when he writes of the veil in the temple being torn in half from top to bottom, which only God could do. As Dr. Mitchell now notes, there is now no longer a barrier between God and man. Our Lord Jesus broke down the barrier on the cross by His shed blood. Now the way is wide open into the very presence of God Himself. Will you come to Him today by faith? If you are now a believer in Christ Jesus our Lord, be assured, the way is always open to God.
