As Dr. Mitchell says of Jesus ...”the Jews crucified One who claimed to be the Son of God and the gentiles crucified One in whom they found no fault.” In the Gospel of Luke we resume in chapter 23:33. Along with Jesus, Luke gives us a close up of two criminals who were crucified and their words to Jesus. Our Lord Jesus prayed and asked the Father to forgive them as He hung on the cross. One of the thieves, with no good works to bring to Jesus but only bad ones, turns to the Lord in faith asking Jesus to remember him when Jesus comes in His kingdom. Our Lord updated the thief’s request for future remembrance saying, “TODAY you shall be with Me in paradise”. You too can know Jesus today.
