GOP-fueled fight over kid-appropriate library books heats up in Texas

One state representative wants to get rid of any books that "contain material that might make students feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress because of their race or sex" and Gov. Greg Abbott has tasked education officials with identifying and removing “pornography or other inappropriate content” from public schools.
