God’s Promises 4 our Profiting Pt 9

<p>Hello and a lovely Thursday morning to you in the name of Jesus. &nbsp;</p> <p>We are gradually getting to the end of the month. Today is the 30th of July. Wow! God is our help and our strength in the name of Jesus.&nbsp;</p> <p>We’ve been talking about how we can process God’s promises to the point where it can become real in our lives. All the promises are fulfilled in Christ. They are yes and amen. But how do we get it to manifest in our lives? &nbsp;</p> <p>We’ve been reading from Proverbs 4:20-22. The process is there:&nbsp;</p> <p>“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.”&nbsp;</p> <p>Yesterday we spoke about what it means to give attention to God’s word. Today, we want to see what exactly it means to tune our ears into the word. I’m sure you know what it means to tune your radio device or to tune something. It means “to make it clear, to focus in on it”. In some devices, like radio or TV, there’s also fine tuning. Fine tuning means you want to clear out every interference, you want to zone in so that the signal can be clear. God says “Yes, I want you to give attention to my word, I want you to make yourself available...but I want you to tune in your ears. I want your inner ears and your outer ears to be locked into what I am saying. Why? Because, the things you hear will affect you. To think they won’t affect you is to be naive. They will always affect you. God says listen to what I’m saying...let the things I say to you lock out everything else. &nbsp;</p> <p>There’s a story in the book of Joshua when the children of Israel were going to invade the land of Jericho. So, they went in there and they saw this lady called Rahab and she said something to them that is very very instructive in Joshua 2:10-11 (NKJV)&nbsp;</p> <p>“For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and wha
