God Loves the Real You, Week 1: Introduction to the Enneagram

<p><strong>Series Description</strong></p> <p>The Enneagram is a personality typing system built around why we do what we do. By examining our motivations, it can help us not only understand the way we see and act in the world, but it can help us identify the defense mechanisms we use to get through life. And ultimately, the better we understand ourselves, the more we can hear God’s specific message of love and grace toward us.</p> <p><strong>Sermon Description</strong></p> <p><em>Romans 7:14-25a</em></p> <p>We love stories: from cave paintings and campfire tales to books, TV, movies, and even 6-second internet videos. And Christianity is a narrative faith, calling us to salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The call of discipleship is to live the “Real Story”, but we are all susceptible to false narratives. The Enneagram is a tool that can help identify what stories are guiding our lives so that we can allow God to heal us and transform us into whom we are meant to be.</p>
