<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>The Floridaville:<br /> Get to know the people<br /> behind the Florida names you know</strong></p> <p>State Representative Chip LaMarca is a member of the Florida Legislature representing the state's 93rd House district in Broward County, which includes the cities of Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale.  He was born in Massachusetts but grew up on the beaches of South Florida.  He walked away from a career in symphonic percussion to pursue a career in information systems and consulting.  </p>
