Fitch Ratings' 2023 outlook for African banks

Even though African banks have proven resilient over the last two to three years, 2023 may be the year that global and domestic shocks undermine credit drivers for African lenders. This is expected to add to existing operating environment risks as highlighted by Fitch Ratings in its outlook for African banks this year.
