An investigation is underway after police fatally shot a suspect with a machete in Kalihi early Wednesday. Authorities said officers were first dispatched to a parking lot near a game room on School Street around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a man who was slashed in his hand. Police said his finger was cut off.
