Examining why smuggling operations such as the one that happened in Texas are so deadly

Last week in San Antonio, Texas, 53 people were found dead, trapped in a sweltering tractor-trailer. It was the deadliest human smuggling tragedy of its kind in the United States. A few others in the vehicle survived. The migrants were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
