Ex-president sentenced to life over Sankara murder

A military tribunal in Burkina Faso has sentenced former President Blaise Compaore, in his absence, to life imprisonment for complicity in the 1987 murder of his predecessor, Thomas Sankara. A year after the militant group al-Shabab attacked the Mozambican town of Palma, we catch up with a few of those who managed to escape the violence.
