€125bn Climate Action Plan Aims To Halve Ireland’s Emissions By The End Of The Decade

The Government has published its revised €125 billion euro Climate Action Plan, which sets out how it intends to meet tight climate targets over the next nine years. The plan proposes how far each sector of society must reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to cut them in half overall by the end of the decade. The aim of the Plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by the year 2030 - as was specified in climate action legislation passed by the Oireachtas earlier this year.
