EPL: Shearer blames one Chelsea player for 4-1 defeat to Newcastle

<p>Former England striker, Alan Shearer has singled out Chelsea captain, Reece James for criticism following their 4-1 loss to Newcastle United on Saturday.</p>, <p>James was shown a second yellow in the 73rd minute for a foul on Anthony Gordon.</p>, <p>The right-back has started the Blues’ last three top-flight fixtures after returning from a hamstring problem, but will now serve a one-match suspension.</p>, <p>Speaking on BBC Radio, Shearer said: “Chelsea were terrible in the second half.</p>, <p>“They were made to look terrible by Newcastle, who put them under pressure.</p>, <p>“Kieran Trippier played really well, Reece James didn’t. Anthony Gordon gave him a really tough time and he got frustrated.</p>, <p>“Gordon seems to be really enjoying his time at Newcastle. A bit of frustration from James and he got sent off.”</p>
