EPL: Bassey labels Manchester United defender Maguire ‘quality player’

<p>Fulham defender, Calvin Bassey says he holds the much-criticised former Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire in high esteem.</p>, <p>Maguire has been constantly criticised by Manchester United fans for his indifferent form since his arrival at the Old Trafford.</p>, <p>The Englishman was stripped of his captaincy by manager Erik Ten Hag at the beginning of the current campaign.</p>, <p>Bassey, however, believes Maguire is a top player.</p>, <p>“At the time I was coming through the ranks and he was one of the players I looked up to and still do, he’s a quality player,” Bassey told the Mirror.</p>, <p>“Now that I’m playing on the opposite side, he plays on the opposite side, just giving me some advice like any top player would.</p>, <p>“He was incredible at Leicester and still is. To do what he did for Leicester was amazing.”</p>
