Description

The Unchanging Word continues our study in Romans 8:10-13. Today we look at a contrast. The contrast between the body and the spirit. There is a promise here in these verses. There is hope through this promise. These verses look forward to the coming of the Lord when this mortal body will be raised and glorified by the same God who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Therefore there is an obligation for the believer. The obligation is not to the flesh, but to the Holy Spirit who has and can put to death the deeds of the sinful flesh, expressed through the deeds of the body.

Dr. Mitchell speaks of this power of life and this same power of resurrection that it is already resident in us, who know Jesus Christ. Turn with us in your Bible to Romans 8:10.
