Description

On the Unchanging Word today, we are looking at Romans 6:16-23. Previously, we heard about deliverance from sin as a place, sin as a principle.

Now, in this section of Scripture, Dr. Mitchell deals with God's deliverance from sin as a practice.

The Lord Jesus Christ, by His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, has made it possible for God to deliver the believer from any practice of sin. This is practical sanctification.

Through faith in Christ, each one who believes in Jesus no longer has a need to sin. In fact there is even a sense of shame about our past sins. As you will hear Dr. Mitchell say,

"the very fact we are now ashamed of some of the things we did before we knew Christ is one of the proofs that we have a new Master—not sin, but the Risen Lord of glory "

So to begin, let's turn in our Bible to Romans 6:16 with Dr. Mitchell.
--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unchanging-word/message
