Episode 68 - 'How to answer those tricky questions posed by our children'

<p>In this session we discussed an approach we can take to handle difficult questions to ensure that our interactions stay child-led.</p> <p>(i.e we don't overwhelm them with too much information the first time they ask a question!) and we take things step by step, answering only the question that they have asked - then stop and let them come to us with a follow up, which may be minutes, days or hours later). &nbsp;</p> <p>Always be guided by the child, moment by moment, listen to what question they are actually ask them and answer that exact question as simply and truthfully as you can. &nbsp;</p> <p>It's also fine (and encouraged) to admit when we don't know an answer to their question, suggest doing research together to find out answers, or say we need time to think! &nbsp;</p> <p>We had some great questions from the audience which added different perspectives too - it was really useful. &nbsp;</p> <p>Visit the link in my bio for details of my Montessori-at-Home Mentoring Programme or enrichingenvironments.com/shop &nbsp;The full <a href="https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/montessorimission">#montessorimission</a> Podcast Series is available here on IGTV, YouTube, Spotify and ITunes.
