Episode 43: In The News (with Lauren Pauls)

<p>Lauren is back to chat with Joel and Naomi about stuff that&apos;s been in the news, including that weird stuff with the US stealing from the Aghani Central Bank, Rasmussen&apos;s horrible survey on trans issues, JK Rowling and Joe Rogan bullying people with their platforms, Free Nichelle,  the awful Pam and Tommy show, and Valentines Day facts. There was unfortunately not enough time to get into the wonders of crypto dating surveys, but maybe that will make it into its own episode. <br/><br/>Current Affairs has an interesting <a href='https://www.currentaffairs.org/2021/05/the-arguments-against-trans-athletes-are-bigoted-and-irrational'>piece on trans individuals in sports</a> that pushes back against many misconceptions/oversimplifications. Please keep in mind that almost no one is arguing against trans individuals in sports in good faith; there are deeper longterm agendas at play, as evidenced the recent Texas law classifying transgender youth support as child abuse.  <br/><br/>Our theme music is “Drop” by the artist Ketsa.
