Episode 43: Emrah Altindis, PhD, Assistant Professor, Boston College

<p>In this episode, Emrah Altindis joins us to discuss his excellent publication,<a href='https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.10.22.350801v1?rss=1'> Parabacteroides distasonis insulin B:9-23 epitope mimic stimulates insulin specific T-cells and enhances type 1 diabetes in NOD mice</a>. The main goal of Dr. Altindis' lab is to better understand the role of microbial mimicry mechanisms in human diseases and characterize these microbial proteins.
