Episode 40: Breast Imaging in Breast Cancer

<p class="MsoNormal">This <a href= "https://diepcjourney.com/category/podcast/" target="_blank" rel= "noopener">DiepCJourney podcast</a> will focus on breast imaging. The questions we will discuss are when to see a radiologist, types of imaging, and more specifics about each type. We will look at what the future looks like in medical imaging in breast cancer.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">I’m speaking to Dr. Randy Miles. <a href= "https://www.denverhealth.org/services/radiology/our-team" target= "_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Miles serves</a> as the chief of breast imaging at <a href="https://www.denverhealth.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Denver Health</a> with oversite over the breast divisions clinical, research, and educational programs. He also serves as the associate director for research in the radiology department.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">He earned his medical degree from <a href= "https://college.mayo.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mayo Clinic College of Medicine</a>. Dr. Miles has achieved multiple awards throughout his career and served on medical missions in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He completed his master’s in public health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at the <a href= "https://chicago.medicine.uic.edu/departments/academic-departments/radiology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of Illinois, Chicago</a> where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete his breast imaging fellowship training at the <a href= "https://rad.washington.edu/" target="_blank" rel= "noopener">University of Washington</a> Medical Center, <a href= "https://www.fredhutch.org/en.html" target="_blank" rel= "noopener">Seattle Cancer Care Alliance</a>.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Dr. Miles has been the recipient of numerous research grants and has published over fifty papers.
