Episode 37 - Seeing Race in America and Pharmacy with Dr. Marvin Smith

My good friend and role model, Dr. Marvin Smith, joins me to discuss his experiences in being a Black man in America and in the Bahamas. As always, Dr. Smith provides some great insight and shares some of his stories in dealing with racism and even a case of police brutality. I hope all of the listeners can appreciate the Dr. Smith's views and can you this podcast, and the last one with Dr. Richard Waithe, to start opening up the dialogue and discussion about race. We can't fix these issues, no matter what race you are, if we aren't discussing this sensitive topic. As pharmacists, please use this time to listen to your patients needs a little closer and expand our thoughts to what a day is like in their shoes.
