Bret Keisling is joined by Jack Moriarty, founder and CEO of Ownership America [ownershipamerica.org/], for a deep look at the recently proposed Employee Equity Investment Act. This bi-partisan, bi-cameral legislation is the product of years of coordination between Ownership America, The ESOP Association, their staffs, and employee ownership supporters. The bill provides for many EO enhancements including creating opportunities for investment funds to include EO in their portfolios, creating more liquidity at closing for selling shareholders, streamlining rules for SBA 7(A) loans, and utilizing Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) to help in create new ESOPs and worker co-ops.
