Episode 244: ESOP Novel Kickstarter CALL TO ACTION

Bret Keisling is joined by author Dave Fitz-Gerald to discuss a new Kickstarter campaign for If It's the Last Thing I Do, which is the very first fiction novel to feature an ESOP. We encourage everyone to support this effort and give what you can to help bring ESOPs into popular culture. The Kickstarter campaign features several goals. The first goal makes the book possible. The second goal funds a soundtrack to accompany the book, and the final "stretch" goal would fund an audiobook version of the novel. "If It's the Last Thing I Do" tells the story of a retired receptionist who unexpectedly inherits her father's business and converts it into an ESOP in the late 1970s. The story includes many twists and turns that will be familiar to anyone involved in ESOP transitions and business succession. The book is expected to be published this summer (2023).
