Episode 21: How can we reduce workplace bullying?

<p>On Mental Health Awareness Week's last day, let's talk about reducing workplace bullying.</p> <p>Even if there are company policies and procedures in place, these don't prevent workplace bullying. If we don’t allow a safe space for our team to voice what is happening, nothing will change. &nbsp;What type of culture do you want to breed?</p> <p>If someone leaves due to bullying:</p> <p>It will cost money and time to replace that person.</p> <p>Lost productivity due to disruption and unease within the team.</p> <p>Training, the decline in productivity when the new person starts while they are learning the ropes… just to mention a few</p> <p>Now the question is, how can we reduce workplace bullying?</p> <p>Be transparent with the policies and procedures.</p> <p>Establish what your policies are and how are you communicating that on all levels. Define what bullying looks like and what it does not look like. Emphasise the repercussion. Bullying is zero tolerance.
