<p>Philosophers have long believed that people act according to their better judgment. Given the choice between A and B, people will choose the best course of action to achieve their goal. And yet...sometimes we act against our better judgment. I know I should eat a salad and go for a run, but instead I buy a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of vodka. What is going on? </p>
