Episode 109 - Movie Night: You People Discussion

<p>We unearthed another film from the Patreon vault, You People, Netflix&apos;s early 2023 romantic comedy. While the trailers depicted this as a compelling story about an interracial couple having issues with each other&apos;s families, it&apos;s really more of a series of zany sitcom moments that fail to deliver any insight into the realities of interracial dating (and arguably perpetuates some really bad messages about race and culture in process). Perhaps most disappointingly, Jonah Hill doesn&apos;t even deliver a great &quot;neurotic white boy&quot; performance.  Join us this week to discuss the shortcomings of this film and how Hollywood could do a better job of writing this kind of story moving forward. <br/><br/>This year our monthly Patreon donations will be going towards trans organizations and activism.
