In 2002, Prez began gaining national buzz when he partnered with Renee Spearman to release the Billboard charting album, “Celebrate”. A few years later, the 2008 offering, “Dr. Bobby Jones Presents - Renee Spearman & Prez” (JDI Records), peaked at #13 on Billboard and garnered Prez Blackmon his first Stellar Gospel Music Award nomination. Prez eventually transitioned into spending several years recording background vocals on some of Gospel music’s most memorable classics: Mary Mary - “Can’t Give Up Now”, Kurt Carr - “In The Sanctuary”, and Norman Hutchins - “God’s Got A Blessing (With My Name On It)”. In 2018, Prez Blackmon was a featured vocalist on the multiple Stellar Award winning Bishop Noel Jones Presents: The City Of Refuge Sanctuary Choir - “Run To The Alter” project (Tyscot Records).
