Episode 011: Special Edition - Growing Up in a Small Town; A Dedication to Wanda Lynn Smith Center

<p>Growing up in the small town of <a href='https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/eagle-lake-tx'>Eagle Lake, Texas,</a> I always saw myself living in the big city of Houston, Texas where stores are open past five o&apos;clock and inspiration can be found on almost every street corner. Now that I finally made the move, I couldn&apos;t be happier with my choice. But growing up in a tiny town made me who I am and I wouldn&apos;t trade my small-town experiences and all my lifelong friends I made for the world. One such friend was Wanda Lynn Smith. I received a phone call a few weeks ago informing me she lost her battle with Cancer. I immediately turned to my recording studio and just started recording. No script, just words from the heart. You see, that phone call I received informed me my dear friend for more than half a century was no longer with us.
