Ep 55: Jess Ekstrom's Gift of Confidence

<p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/jess_ekstrom/?hl=en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jess Ekstrom</a>, founder and CEO of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/headbandsofhope/?hl=en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Headbands of Hope</a> &amp; <a href="https://www.instagram.com/writebrightpages/?hl=en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bright Pages</a>, began her journey as an entrepreneur as a college student. As an intern for Walt Disney World, Jess fell in love with Make A Wish America kids as she photographed their wishes and created long-lasting memories for both the child and the family. It was this experience that sparked her interest with interning with the Make A Wish.</p><br><p>Jess’s experience with the Make A Wish foundation inspired her to create headbands for kids undergoing chemotherapy and fulfilled this dream by creating Headbands of Hope, where with every item purchased, one headband in turn is donated to a child with an illness. To date, they have donated 850K headbands, with a goal of reaching 1 million. Headbands of Hope represents a sense of hope, courage and bravery.&nbsp;</p><br><p>As a female entrepreneur, Jess has experienced both highs and lows throughout her career and stresses the importance of realizing that failure is not everything.
