EP 53 Chief's Chat - David Kelly, MB CEO, keeping focus on what we can control

<p>In this month's Chief's Chat Ryan talks to David Kelly, CEO of Master Builders, about the main challenges that the construction industry is facing such as product supply and inflation, and strategies to help us deal with them by keeping focus on what we can control.</p><p> </p><p>David highlights that while the current inflation figure of 6.9% is being widely reported, the construction inflation is 18% to build a new home. However we can't change inflation so we need to keep focusing on what we can control to get through this challenging time - to manage your cash flow, making sure your balance sheets are in order and to reach out for support if needed. </p><p>Ryan and David also talk about the increased significance of using the 10-year Master Build Guarantee because of the new bank requirements. In many cases, if you can't get the guarantee then a bank won't lend.
