Ep 45: Voice Of An Endo-Warrior with Sam Abel

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Today we speak with</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Endo Warrior/Chronic illness advocate,</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"> Sam Abel.  Sam is a 21-year-old full-time college student at UCLA from Southern California with Stage 4 Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, and Interstitial Cystitis. After 6 years of symptoms, countless doctors telling Sam that there was nothing wrong, and three surgeries, she finally received a full diagnosis.  It has been challenging during and after the diagnosis process, but social media has been her way to cope and use her voice to share her message.  Through social media, she aims to raise awareness for these chronic illnesses, to support and connect with other warriors, and to show others how she is managing her chronic illnesses through her 20s.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In this episode we discuss. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">1) The challenge and importance of continuing to be an advocate for your own health, and the emotions Sam experienced while she fought to be heard and supported.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style= "font-weight: 400;">2) </span> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">Endometriosis/Adenomyosis/& IC, has been incredibly isolating as it is not talked about enough in the education system or medical system.
