Description

In this episode i'm digging into the archives! This was my very first interview back in 1986 when I was just 17 yrs old. My voice hadn't broken (so I sound a little funny) and the recording was performed way before digital existed, on cassette tape. I recently came across the interview and converted it to digital. The quality is not 100%, but I'm interviewing the highest profile criminal lawyer of his time. With an 80 to 90% acquital rate, Frank Galbally, CBE was one of the first solicitors to practice as a trial advocate without joining the Victorian Bar. Incredibly successfl and influential, Frank was involved in the appeal to stop the two Australians, Barlow and Chambers, from being executed in Malaysia.

This interview provides and interesting insight into the history of capital punishment and why it doesn't work.
