In addition to a global pandemic, here are just a few of the issues our colleagues have had to deal with recently (in no particular order): - Contracting Covid - Illness of a family member requiring your care - Working from home instead of an office - Moving house under lockdown restrictions - Accident resulting in broken bone or other disabling injury - New baby - House fire - Difficulty finding a new home - Sick pet - Loss of childcare - Death of a loved one - Increased costs of necessities such as medication or fuel - Illness requiring surgery - Actual war breaking out in your country - Kids home all day to homeschool - Loss of primary or supplementary income Just reading that list might stress you out, or it might make you think "HOLY CRAP I'M A WARRIOR!" One thing is for sure - we can't predict the future and we can't prevent the universe from throwing us a curve ball.
