She received her master's degree in nursing from Indiana University in 2004 as a family nurse practitioner and worked in a traditional family practice setting for a hospital system until 2017. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2008 she was attending a nurse practitioner conference when she heard about female hormone imbalance symptoms, testing, and treatment with compounded “bio-identical” hormones and the science behind it. She thought “oh my gosh…this describes a large number of females that I see.” They come seeking a solution for their anxiety, weight gain, depression, insomnia, etc. and I give them a pill which doesn’t make them better.
