<p>"Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" is the 5th most popular Christmas of all time. It first appeared in 1739 and was originally entitled “A Hymn for Christmas Day”. Its lyrics were written by Charles Wesley, the brother of the famous revivalist John Wesley. Its opening lines echo the Christmas account given to us in Luke 2:13-14. This message will look at the primary components of both the carol and the event: the messengers, the message, and the recipients of the message.
