Environmentalists Say NO! to LaSalle

At a press conference on January 9th, progressive senators, reproductive rights advocates and criminal justice activists gathered in the State Capital Albany urging Hochul to pick a different nominee for the states highest court justice. Their belief is that the nomination of conservative Justice Hector LaSalle will make it more difficult to enact environmental protections, and ruling against workers, tenants, and immigrant rights.
