Description

A Clare lung cancer survivor has warned that the symptoms of the illness can easily be confused with other milder conditions. A study conducted by the Marie Keating Foundation has found that less than one in three people are confident they know and could identify the symptoms of lung cancer. Ennis native Seamus Cotter was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2016 after experiencing consistent phlebitis, or leg swelling, over a sustained period. Seamus, who's the Chair of the Irish Lung Cancer Community, insists while some ailments are symptomatic of less serious illnesses, it's crucial that people get tested if they suspect something is wrong.
