Encounters on the Play Ground: The Socialization of Children In Media

We already know that our children suffer from low self esteem. Having to compete in a world that says that you aren't enough is something our children suffer from. It's important to teach our children self love and self esteem. It's important that our young people know who they are and what we have accomplished. Children of color experience racism on the play grounds and may be too ashamed to tell you. There is healing today by acknowledgement and making the world a better place. The media is responsible for the images they produce.
