ECHOLANDS | Honest Review | High Fantasy Comic Book | Needs some Improvements | JRAILS247

<p>Hey guys!</p> <p>I do my best to provide Honest Reviews for everything that I read and comment on</p> <p>I'm one of those people who tries to give good marks, and if I can't, will usually let that title slip out of my chats</p> <p>But, I do think it's important for me to begin sharing constructive critiques on some titles that I may have been initially excited for but was ultimately not thrilled about</p> <p>I will most likely post those in podcast only format, so I can have more time to explain my view more thoroughly than the 30 seconds IG or YT allows</p> <p>Hope you will tune in for these reviews also!</p> <p><br></p> <p>Jumping back to Echolands, a High Fantasy, comic that premiered a few short weeks ago from Image Comics</p> <p><br></p> <p>Cons:&nbsp;</p> <p>Not thrilled about the dimensions of the comic. &nbsp;It is the shape of an oversized flip-book, which does help to layout the imagery better than a standard letter-sized comic, but doesn't feel comfy in the hands while reading</p> <p><br></p> <p>Yes, Worldbuilding is hard, but I have absolutely no idea what world this character is in. &nbsp;It could easily be a surreal dystopia or a really tripped-out dream. I don't think the writer established the setting clearly enough</p> <p><br></p> <p>Pros:&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>The pseudo-newsletter, complete with fake ads, at the end of the issue was cool, and also the interview between the Reporter and the Wizard who rules over the land that Red Hood lives in</p> <p><br></p> <p>The writer provides the extensive playlist of the songs he listened to and vibed on while creating this first chapter</p> <p><br></p> <p>Overall: While I cannot say I enjoyed this premiere issue, I do encourage others to read it and give it a try. &nbsp;You may like the landscape layout of the comic much more than I did and you may find the dropped in some random Wonderland tone much more pleasing to the imagination.</p> <p><br></p> <p>#comics #comicbooks #echolands #imagecomics #imagecomicbooks #scificomics #fantasycomics #scifico
