Drought continues along Yangtze River causing shortage of power

China has seen an unprecedented rise in temperatures this summer, leading to one of the worst heatwaves the country has faced in the last 60 years. Sichuan Province is among the worst-hit regions across China. Temperatures climbing above 40 degree Celsius have damaged crops and slowed manufacturing activity.
