Domestic Violence - Bullied For Over 20 Years - My Story
SANKOFA MOMENTS
Description

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic violence does not discriminate. Domestic violence affects people all over the world

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behaviors that are used to control a partner in a relationship. In the U.S., an average of 20 people experience intimate partner physical violence every minute. This physical violence is often accompanied by emotionally abusive behaviors, contributing to a larger, systemic problem with violence and control.

MY STORY

A topic I never wanted to speak about is Mother's Day because I knew that I was a mother, but I wasn't allowed to see my son for over 20 years. I've never suffered Domestic abuse, but my abuse was more verbal, mental, etc. It wasn't until this summer I was set free, and thanks to my Fiancé Gabriel, he stood up to this big bully; he said I'm not going to fight fire with fire; I'm just going to take the water hose and put this fire out and he did. I wish Lora were here to see this unfold. Please check out this podcast to hear my story.

REGINA SWARN . COM
